Finance Assistant Job Opportunity

Job description

Renuvo are a family run heating company specialising in gas, oil, electrical and renewable heating service, maintenance and installation. After recent contract successes, we are recruiting a part-time Bookkeeper / Finance Assistant to support our Financial Director with the day to day finance of the business.

You will have all the expected qualities; organised, efficient with excellent attention to deal as well as the ability to work in a fast-pace environment. Working closely with our Finance Director, you will be expected to have an understanding of cloud-based financial systems and demonstrate a track record in maintaining purchase and sales ledgers, price checking and inputting crucial financial information.

THE ROLE:

  • Sales, Purchase and Nominal Ledger postings
  • Match purchase orders with invoices and input correctly into our property management software
  • Reconciliation of bank accounts, nominal accounts, expenses and such like
  • Liaise with clients, external suppliers and customers as required
  • Management of sales ledger
  • Maintaining accounts, verifying and posting
  • Supporting FD to develop monthly financial statements, including cash flow, profit and loss statements and balance sheets
  • Assist with quarterly and monthly tax returns, along with payroll, operating and business taxes

YOU MUST HAVE

  • Sound accounting knowledge
  • At least 2 years bookkeeping / finance experience (desirable)
  • Attention to detail
  • An understanding of cloud-based systems such as Xero and Sage
  • A good understanding of Microsoft packages including Word and Excel
  • Strong communication skills
